Pasta (fusilli or rotini)

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a pot of salted, boiling water, cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain the pasta & set aside.

Broccoli (fresh)
Ham (deli slices)

Step 2

Meanwhile, prepare another pot of salted, boiling water. Wash & cut the broccoli into florets. Halve the florets to make bite-sized pieces. Cut the ham into thin strips. Boil the broccoli until bright & tender, about 4-7 min.

Butter (unsalted)
Flour (all-purpose)

Step 3

In a small sauce pot over low heat, melt the butter. Add the flour & whisk quickly for 1 min.

Milk (whole)

Step 4

Slowly add the milk, mixing until the sauce is thick & bubbly, about 2 min. Season with salt, pepper & a pinch of nutmeg if you have. Remove the pot from the heat.

Step 5

In a baking dish, add the drained pasta, broccoli & cut ham.

Step 6

Cover with the cream sauce & toss it all together.

Italian cheese blend (shredded)

Step 7

Top with the shredded cheese.

Step 8

Bake for 15-18 min in the oven at 400°F, until the top is nicely browned. Serve & enjoy!
