Be sure to follow the puff pastry package instructions! Preheat the oven to 400°F. Peel & finely slice the onions. Melt a dab of butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions & a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring for 15 min.
In a small bowl, whisk together the cream, mustard, salt & pepper.
Shred the Swiss cheese. Lay the puff pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in a pie pan. Spread the mustard-cream mixture over the base of the tart. Top with the onions, cheese & black pepper. Fold in or trim the edges of the crust.
Bake the tart for 25 min at 400°F, or according to the package instructions.
Serve the tart with a bed of salad greens drizzled with your favorite dressing. Enjoy!
