Step 1
Add the milk, rice & half the sugar to a pot over medium heat.
Step 2
Cook, stirring frequently for 30 min.
Step 3
To make the caramel, add the remaining sugar to another pot.
Step 4
Warm it over medium heat. Don't stir until it starts to melt & caramelize. Then gently stir.
Step 5
Gradually add the cream while continuing to mix the caramel.
Step 6
Add the butter & a pinch of salt. Stir to combine. Remove from the heat & set aside.
Step 7
When the rice is cooked & creamy, remove it from the heat.
Step 8
Spoon the rice pudding into bowls. Drizzle caramel sauce over top. Enjoy!
