recipe

Onion (red)

Step 1

Peel & thinly slice the onion.

Cucumber

Step 2

Wash & thinly slice the cucumber into rounds.

Tomato

Step 3

Wash & small dice the tomato.

Turkey (ground)
Garlic powder
Oregano (dried)
Cumin (ground)

Step 4

Season the ground turkey with garlic powder, oregano, cumin, salt & pepper. Gently fold in the seasonings. Flatten the mixture into a rectangle.

Olive oil

Step 5

Heat a drizzle of oil on a pan over medium-high heat. Add the turkey meat & cook for 5-6 min per side, covering the pan in between.

Step 6

Remove from the heat & transfer the meat to a cutting board. Thinly slice the meat. (Option to crisp up the meat strips by pan-frying for 2 more min.)

Step 7

On toasted pita, spread some Tzatziki. Layer on gyro meat, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes & another dollop of Tzatziki. Fold up the pita & wrap in foil (optional). Serve & enjoy!
