Beef (sirloin steak)

Step 1

Slice the steak into thin strips.

Sugar (granulated)
Soy sauce
Fish sauce

Step 2

In a bowl, whisk together the fish sauce (optional), soy sauce, black pepper, sugar & a drizzle of vegetable or sesame oil. Add the steak. Set it aside to marinate.

Broccoli (fresh)

Wash & cut the broccoli into florets.

Add the broccoli to a pot of salted boiling water. Cook for 2 min.

Garlic

Peel & thinly slice the garlic.

Corn starch

Step 6

In a small bowl, dissolve the corn starch in a drizzle of room temperature water.

Drain the broccoli.

Heat a drizzle of oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic & stir. Add the beef & stir again.

Add the broccoli. Whisk in the corn starch mixture. Reduce the heat to medium. Cook, stirring for 2-3 min. When the beef is cooked through, remove the pan from the heat.

Sesame seeds

Step 10

Serve the stir fry garnished with sesame seeds (optional). Enjoy!
