If you’ve ever wondered how our Jow animations look so good… the answer is right here. We’d like to introduce you to our Senior Designer: Marjorie Procureur. Marjorie (or more affectionately, *Marjow*) is a fundamental part of our Studio Team, where all things “design” happen.

A funny fact about you:

I used to ice skate when I was a child, but my parents were really paying for me to sit on the rink and eat the ice.

What is the most challenging part of your role at Jow?

  • Selling your ideas
  • How to organize with other teams
  • Giving and receiving feedback
  • Being creative on demand!

What are some tips you have on how to face these challenges?

Have patience and prep, document, and create processes as much as possible!

How does your role impact Jow and Jow’s customers?

  • Our team makes sure Jow is recognized at first sight
  • We make sure the brand’s image evolves
  • We always take customer feedback into account
  • We run A/B tests to make sure our customers feel better represented
  • We create 100’s of assets for customers and clients
  • We spread Jow’s presence on the market

What’s a project you’ve been a part of at Jow that you’re really proud of?

Jow’s rebranding! This was a 6 month project that involved a tonnnn of people, and most importantly, that broke the rule to create the future best version of the brand! Thanks to my background in Motion Graphics, I was able to develop the entire motion system myself.

What’s your favorite part about working at Jow?

  • Jow’s place in the food industry (it’s a pleasure to work with beautiful food imagery!)
  • Jow’s values (no food waste, sustainability, etc.)
  • Jow is flexible & down to earth
  • The people! Jow’s people are just amazing.

What’s your favorite Jow recipe?

Burger houmous, feta & aubergine 😁

What tips do you have for someone who wants to work in the Design field?

Do not try to follow the trends, get inspired and be yourself! That's what differentiates you from other designers and gets you hired. And if you've got impostor syndrome, don't forget that the people you admire probably have it too!!
