This integration marks a significant milestone for Jow, allowing us to fast track our accessibility, impact, and the promotion of health and wellbeing

Why You Should Care About Instacart’s Industry-Altering Move

Have you read about Instacart’s new developer platform, or “IDP” for short?

This is big news for recipe and grocery services in North America: the businesses themselves and their customers…and it’s news that you should care about.

Instacart has created a program that is the first of its kind for like-minded services across the United States. In a nutshell, IDP allows Jow to access data like product catalogs, specific retailer integrations, and more.

This access opens the door to a rich library of information, giving connected partners a boost when it comes to supercharging their products, customer bases, and growth.

We are honored to be one of 16 launch partners, alongside fan favorites like New York Times Cooking, Weight Watchers, and others.

Why This Next Step for Jow Just Makes Sense

First, we share many of the values that our friends at Instacart live by. When we built Jow, we knew that we wanted to make real food available to as many people as possible, eliminate the stress around grocery shopping, and also help households waste less. While a tall order, our service was built to check all of these boxes.

For us, it’s so important to partner with brands that share values like wellbeing, accessibility, and sustainability, and we’re proud to say that that’s Instacart.

On top of that, integrating with the Instacart Developer Platform will allow us to accelerate in The States more quickly, a dream for any ambitious business and a delight for every Jow customer.

What Does This Integration Mean for Jow Users and Customers?

Jow’s Full Experience Will Be Available in More States

Jow customers are going to see a lot more availability near them. While a simplified version of our application is already available in all 50 states, an in-app checkout experience is only available in 35. As an early partner in IDP, we’re rapidly adding more grocery providers on Jow, meaning a premier experience is being unlocked for thousands of users in record time.

Jow Users Can Expect to See More Choices in Their Area This Year

In addition to a larger footprint in North America, we’ll also be able to add more variety to meet our customer’s needs. Whether they’d like to shop at Save Mart, Sprouts, or somewhere else, they can choose their weekly go-to or shop by “flavor of the week.”

More Jow Users Can Benefit from Our Exclusive In-App Offers

The unlocked experience also gives Jow customers, exclusively, a price break. With this enhanced Jow experience, we can provide our users with promotions and deals they won’t find anywhere else, on top of what’s already being offered at Instacart.

With inflation continuing to take over the media and squeeze Americans’ wallets from sea to sea, we’re proud to be able to find additional ways to help our users save money, and IDP helps us with that.

Next-Level Convenience Is on the Menu for Jow Customers

Furthermore, Jow users can look forward to even more convenience.

While the Jow app is already proven to help customers save time, money, and relieve the ever-growing pain of cognitive labor, integrating with Instacart will allow Jow users to get their groceries in record time.

Whether it’s a last-minute grocery haul, a surprise dinner guest, or a “whoops, I forgot butter”, Jow is the go-to place for meal planning and shopping: whether you’re in your planning era, or happen upon life’s spontaneous moments.
